Glen Cebulash: Looking at Painting

Sunday, September 18th - 1 - 3 PM
Join the DSA for a conversation with Glen Cebulash, art professor at Wright State University, on looking at painting. The average person spends only 17 seconds looking at a work of art, but understanding an artwork requires slowing down and taking time to see the details. Spend some time with us to look and talk about works selected by Glen.

Meet your Instructor:
Glen received his BFA from Boston University and his MFA from The American University in Washington D.C.  He has exhibited widely throughout the United States, including exhibitions at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, VA; The Springfield Museum of Art in Springfield, OH and The Courtyard Gallery in Washington, D.C..  Since 2007 he has been a member of the painting collective Midwest Paint Group and is currently represented by The Bowery Gallery, New York, NY.  Glen has curated over twenty exhibitions in the Robert and Elaine Stein Galleries at Wright State University and helped acquire numerous works for its permanent collection. Glen was chair of the Art Department at Wright State University for 13 years, and in 2017, he received the Ohio Arts Council's Individual Excellence Award.
