The DSA is pleased to present LITHO-LINO-MONO-MORE 2023. All printmakers, 18 years or older, living, working, or attending school in the state of Ohio are eligible for entry. All art submitted must have printmaking incorporated in their production process: woodcut, etching, engraving, lithography, screen printing, etc. Photography, giclee prints, and digital work are not eligible unless they have additional printmaking elements. Traditional and non-traditional approaches are welcome. $600 will be awarded in prizes. This exhibition will be in the High Street Gallery as well as online at daytondsa.org/LLMM2023.

Stephanie Barrie, winner of the 2022 Litho-Lino-Mono-More printmaking exhibition will be jurying this year.

ENTRY FEES

  • $20 for the first piece and $5 for each additional image submitted for a grand total of up to three pieces/$30. (1 piece: $20, 2 pieces: $25, three pieces: $30).

  • With DSA member coupon code, first entry is $15, 2nd is $20, 3rd is $25


REQUIREMENTS

  • Artists must be 18 years of age or older and live, work, or attend school in Ohio.
  • 2D Artwork must be no larger than 60in tall x 48in wide.
  • 3D artwork must fit on a pedestal that has a footprint of 24 x 24 inches (or smaller) or sit on the floor
  • Artwork must be professionally presented. 2D work must be ready to hang with wiring on back. DSA is open to other installation methods, but they must be pre-approved.
  • Artwork must be labelled on the back, or underneath, with your name, title, and price
  • Artwork must not have been exhibited before at the DSA
  • Artwork may not be picked up before the close of the show
  • Submit up to three (3) printmaking works. These works must be finished new work or work made within the last five years. Object details are required for each work submitted: Title, Year, Medium, Dimensions, Price (If not for sale, its insurance value).
  • Accepted work that differs significantly from submitted images, or suffers from poor presentation, will be disqualified.

ART DELIVERY

  • Artists must cover the cost to transport the artwork to and from the gallery. All work selected for the exhibition must arrive ready to install. Works not gallery-ready, or not exhibiting good craftsmanship, may be omitted from the exhibit. Works must be hand delivered or shipped. Shipped works must be sent in reusable packaging. Works will be returned in the same manner as received. Exhibited work will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. Works not claimed within 30 days of the end of the exhibit will become the property of the DSA.
  • Shipped Works: Must arrive on or before Mon. Sept. 11th Please contact director@daytondsa.org for the shipping address.
  • In-Person Delivery: Artists may hand deliver work to the DSA Fri. September 8th, 12 pm - 5 pm or Sat. September 9th, 12 pm - 5 pm.

ART PICK-UP

  • Shipped Work: will be shipped the week of October 22nd.- In-Person Pick-Up: Artists may pick up work at the DSA Sun. October 22, 11 AM - 4 pm or Mon. October 23, 3 pm - 8 pm or by appointment.

LIABILITY & SALES

  • All work labeled for sale will be displayed and sold in the gallery and on the DSA's online store.
  • Artists maintain responsibility for insuring fine artwork during shipment and/or travel (including U.S. mail delivery) to the DSA. The DSA will acknowledge receipt of work when physically received by appropriate DSA personnel.
  • The DSA maintains fine art insurance for work located physically in the DSA gallery.
  • Insurance claims where fine artwork has been valued in excess of $500 must be accompanied by documentation of comparable sales price for fine artwork claiming artists and/or a professional third-party appraisal.
  • The DSA does not have climate control in the galleries.
  • DSA takes NO COMMISSION on sales, but donations are appreciated and help support future programming. Do not include shipping in the price of the piece. After sales are completed, artist is responsible for coordinating with purchaser to deliver/ship work. Artists may use the High Street Gallery as a meeting point.

AGREEMENT TO PARTICIPATE

  • Submitting the entry form indicates that you agree with the conditions of entry and exhibit as outlined in these guidelines, and that you agree to make your work available and will ship/deliver it to the gallery should it be selected for exhibit. The DSA may use submitted images and artwork in print and/or digital marketing materials.
